Student protests in India are gradually gaining momentum. Alongside common people, celebrities are also participating. Some are showing solidarity with students through social media, while others are joining them directly on the streets.

Actress Ayesha Khan, known for ‘Dhurandhar’, visited Dadar in Mumbai, where students were also protesting. However, shortly after arriving at the protest site, the actress was detained by the police. She herself shared this information on social media.

In a video message, Ayesha stated, “My hands are still trembling. I was just standing peacefully on the road. Suddenly, the police picked me up and put me in a police van, detaining me.”

Ayesha claims she did not initiate the protest. Prior to her detention, her brother and a few friends had been apprehended by the police. At that time, she was merely standing on the street.

In the video shared by Ayesha, a young man can be seen stating that he has a mathematics exam and was detained by the police without any reason. Another video shows Ayesha asking police officers where they are being taken, but she received no answer to her query. Footage also circulated online showing four female police officers forcibly putting Ayesha into a van.

Ayesha wrote, “Unfortunately, four female police officers came to put me in the van. But I am asking the same question again: Why? Did I create any commotion? Did I start any conversation? Why was I detained? Just for standing on the street? I wasn’t even part of a group of five people.”

Following her detention, Ayesha was taken to Worli Police Station in Mumbai. The actress stated that the police officers on duty there treated her cooperatively. She was reportedly released from the station after a detailed interrogation. However, Ayesha mentioned that she remains confused about her detention.
