US President Donald Trump has formally invited Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan to visit the White House on September 24.
In his speech, President Trump praised the “unprecedented and royal reception” given to him, saying he was welcomed in a way that was beyond compare.
Noting that his talks with Xi Jinping were very productive, Trump said, “We had a very productive discussion earlier in the day.”
“It was a great honor to spend time with you,” Trump said.
