Tehran has once again closed the Strait of Hormuz as the US naval blockade of Iranian ports continues.

According to shipping monitoring website Marintraffic, there is currently no information on shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

However, many ships were seen anchored across the Gulf, especially near the coasts of Oman and the United Arab Emirates.

Some ships plyed through this important waterway yesterday (Saturday), but it has decreased significantly since Tehran announced the closure of the strait.

Missiles or projectiles were reported to hit some ships on Saturday. On the same day, an oil tanker was also fired upon.
